The UK-GCC Strategic Dialogue was held in London on October 20, bringing together government officials, investors and business leaders to strengthen economic ties between the UK and Gulf states.

Discussions focused on trade, investment, capital markets, digital technology, life sciences and infrastructure, following the conclusion of negotiations on the UK-GCC Free Trade Agreement.

Invest Oman CEO Nasser Al Kindi highlighted the agreement’s potential to improve market access, attract investment and strengthen Oman’s position as a regional and global investment destination.

The event also marked the launch of The Business Year’s UK-GCC Strategic Dialogue Special Report, featuring more than 120 interviews with government and business leaders.

UK-GCC trade reached £53 billion in 2025, with the free trade agreement projected to increase bilateral trade by 19.8% in the long term, potentially adding £15.5 billion annually.
