Taylor Swift has received eight nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards next month. The VMAs celebrate artists who have transformed the music industry within the past year with nominations also for Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith and Shakira. Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift is up for Video of the Year alongside Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo, Flowers by Miley and Unholy by Sam Smith.
The Burj Khalifa in Dubai has been named as the world’s popular landmark based on the number of visitors it attracts every year. According to new research 17 million visitors head to the world’s tallest tower every year. India’s Taj Mahal is second, which attracts 7.5 million visitors followed by Niagara Falls.
Scientists say Mars is spinning faster – but they don’t know why. They say it is accelerating at around four milliarcseconds per year, bringing the days to a close a fraction of a millisecond earlier. Scientists picked up the shift in spin speed using data from NASA’s InSight Mars lander, which operated on the surface for four years until it ran out of power last year.
