A new study from South Korea shows that eating a pack of instant noodles every day could significantly increase the risk of hypertension, diabetes and abdominal obesity. It goes on to say all types of noodles are associated with an increased risk of metabolic syndrome, which suggests the high carbohydrate content drives these adverse health effects.
The sequel to The Simpsons Movie has a release date. The first movie came out in 2007 and was a commercial success, earning more than $536 million at the global box office. 20th Century Studios have announced The Simpsons Movie 2 will be coming out July 2027. The animated TV series has aired for 37 seasons and has been renewed through to season 40, which is also widely expected to be the last.
Taking vitamin D supplements could help prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia, according to a groundbreaking study. Researchers examined brain samples from older adults and found those with more vitamin D had a 25–33% reduced risk of developing dementia. While more research is needed, it opens the door to new ways of understanding and possibly preventing age related cognitive decline.
