Starbucks is looking for a pilot! They are offering a salary of $360,000 a year to find somebody to fly their corporate jet. It’s a role that involves flying top executives, including the CEO of Starbucks, on business trips. Your job will include flight planning, passenger safety, and helping with luggage. Applicants will need 5,000 hours flying time, five years as a corporate captain, top-level medical clearance and an airline transport pilot licence.
Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, has announced that users in the UK will soon be able to pay for their accounts to be free of ads. It’s a move that comes after regulators raised concerns over how Meta crunches personal data to serve targeted ads. With the new plan, users will get a choice: continue using the apps for free with personalised ads, or pay to remove them entirely.
Apple is expected to release their first foldable smartphone next year with a book-style iPhone. The device will feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a standard 5.5-inch outer screen, potentially incorporating Touch ID on the side button. It is rumoured the device will feature two rear cameras and a single front-facing camera. Foldable smartphones are currently dominated by Samsung and Huawei.
