Sony is reportedly planning to sell the base PS5 without a DualSense controller from January. The move could lower the price and reduce electronic waste — but new buyers will need to purchase a controller. DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers will still be sold separately.
The European Union is proposing a ban on social media for children under 13. Under the new EU Kids Act, 13- and 14-year-olds could only use social media through parent-supervised accounts, while independent accounts would start at 15. The proposal still needs approval from EU governments and the European Parliament.
Saudi Arabia is tightening rules on what can be sold in school canteens, with 30 food and drink items now banned. The list includes fizzy and energy drinks, chips, ice cream, chocolate milk, processed meats and some pastries. The Education Ministry says the changes aim to promote healthier eating, balanced diets and stronger food-safety standards in schools.
