Tom Cruise’s latest film Digger is heading for a major box-office flop, after taking in just an estimated $8million during its opening weekend. Analysts suggest the film could ultimately lose Warner Bros. more than $125 million. It’s also set to be the last film released by Warner Bros. before the studio is acquired by Paramount.
Handwritten lyrics by Queen legend Freddie Mercury have fetched the equivalent of 138,000 Omani rials at auction. The notebook, featuring lyrics from sessions for his first solo album Mr. Bad Guy, was the top-selling item at the auction. Meanwhile, an acoustic guitar once owned by Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher sold for the equivalent of 113,000 Omani rials.
The Fast & Furious franchise is heading to the small screen, with a new scripted series officially moving forward. The show is expected to premiere in 2028, around the same time as Fast Forever, the planned final film in the blockbuster movie series. The TV project was first announced as being in development earlier this year.
