Avengers: Doomsday’ is already breaking records even before its cinema release. GlobalBoxOffice reports that the film has surpassed $100 million in worldwide pre-sales, making it the second-biggest advance seller ever. Projections show the film could be on track to become the first movie to cross $3 billion. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is released in December.
YouTube is changing its Shorts algorithm to put more emphasis on original content and reduce the reach of videos that simply reuse someone else’s work. The platform is also targeting “minor technical edits” and repetitive, template-based changes, so channels built around reposting and lightly modifying existing videos could see significantly less distribution.
Sony Music has identified more than 260,000 AI-generated tracks that imitate major artists including Harry Styles, Adele, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson—almost twice as many as six months ago. While AI can be a powerful creative tool, industry leaders argue that cloning an artist’s voice, identity and audience without permission crosses the line into counterfeit music.
