Reddit is planning to restrict public browsing, meaning users may soon need an account to access the platform. The move would mark a major shift after almost 20 years of open access, with the company citing concerns over data scraping and a desire to deliver more targeted advertising.

Instagram is reportedly offering YouTube creators up to $500,000 to bring their long-form videos to the platform. The move is part of a push to compete with YouTube, with selected creators offered deals starting at $50,000. Instagram’s new Features programme allows horizontal videos of up to 90 minutes, with creators still free to post on YouTube.
