Nearly two years after its initial announcement, filmmaker Drew Goddard has confirmed that the next installment of the The Matrix franchise is still in development. The series began with The Matrix in 1999, followed by The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and The Matrix Resurrections. Plot details for the fifth film remain under wraps, and it is still unclear whether Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will return as Neo and Trinity.
The first trailer for Scary Movie 6 has been released, marking the return of the iconic parody franchise. The preview teases the series’ signature over the top humour and sharp spoofs of modern horror films, and reuniting the original cast members. The comedy is set to be released in June.
The UAE government has stepped in to help support more than 20,000 passengers stranded in Abu Dhabi by covering their hotel accommodation and meals until flights resume. Authorities have also directed hotels to extend affected guests’ stays and t0 bill the tourism department directly, ensuring travellers do not face any additional costs while waiting for operations to normalise.
