Indonesia is the latest country to ban social media for children under 16.They will start with platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, and Roblox. Indonesia’s Communication and Digital Affairs Minister said the measure will prevent children from having accounts on what she called “high-risk digital platforms”.

 

Netflix is building a new $1 billion mega studio in the US. They are transforming a 292-acre site in New Jersey into a massive production campus. Once complete, it will have 12 state-of-the-art soundstages, production offices, and other amenities, with the initial stages expected to open next year. When finished, the new Netflix complex will become their second-largest production facility.

 

A small hotel in Japan has introduced an unusual offer. You can stay for less than 1 OMR per night, but there is a catch: your stay is live-streamed on YouTube around the clock for viewers to watch. The idea came from the hotel manager, who wanted a creative way to promote the family business and attract attention online. Cameras capture the room’s activity, though the bathroom area remains private for guests.
