YouTube is rolling out new measures aimed at improving transparency around AI-generated content, including more prominent disclosure labels and automatic detection tools. The company says these updates are designed to make it easier for viewers to identify videos that contain significant AI-generated or altered content, while still giving creators control over how their content is labeled.

 

Apple is developing a new security feature that automatically locks an iPhone if it detects the device has been snatched from the user’s hand. The feature would complement existing protections such as Find My, Activation Lock, and Stolen Device Protection. No release date has been announced.

 

A company in China has unveiled an AI-powered pet collar that claims to translate animal sounds into human language with up to 95% accuracy. The device uses microphones, motion sensors and artificial intelligence to analyse pet vocalisations, behaviour and body language. It is reportedly trained on millions of pet sound samples to interpret signals such as excitement, anxiety, hunger, sadness and affection.
