A restaurant in South Korea is facing backlash after banning solo diners and putting up a sign that says, “We don’t sell loneliness.” They are telling customers they must either come with a companion or order two portions. Many people online criticised the rule as unfair, especially since solo dining is becoming more common in Korea.
A spin-off of Stranger Things is officially in development. Those working on the project say that it will function as a standalone story rather than an expansion of the show’s mythology. No release date has been set, but with Stranger Things season 5 still rolling out, expect a long wait before the spin-off is ready.
Japan has set a new internet speed record that is fast enough to download the entire Netflix library in one second. Researchers at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology achieved it using advanced fiber-optic cables transmitting data across four light wavelengths, however, this isn’t something we’ll see in homes or phones anytime soon.
