Researchers have found an effective way people bond more quickly. Bonding over a shared dislike of someone or something creates a stronger sense of connection and trust than bonding over shared interests. Mutual dislike signals that two people see the world in a similar way and draws a clear line between those who “get it” and those who don’t. Shared interests tell you what someone likes. Shared contempt tells you how they think.

 

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has made more than $100 million above projections, bringing in a massive $927 million globally in its opening weekend alone. It is now the second-biggest opening weekend of all time and is expected to easily surpass the $1 billion mark. Marvel Studios president and Spider-Man producer Kevin Feige says the film’s success reflects the enduring power of Marvel’s characters and the strong connection they continue to have with fans around the world.

 

YouTube has launched a major crackdown on spammy AI-generated content, removing more than 130,000 channels linked to so-called content farms over the past six months. The platform says many of the accounts were producing repetitive, low-quality videos using the same AI-created formats in an attempt to exploit its recommendation system. Channels found violating the rules are being stripped of monetisation or removed entirely.
