NASA’s new Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is on its way to space after launching from Florida. Designed to investigate dark energy, black holes and the evolution of the Universe, it can survey an area of sky 100 times larger than Hubble or the James Webb Space Telescope. The telescope will spend around 100 days travelling to a point nearly one million miles from Earth to discover tens of thousands of new exoplanets.
Spider-Man has just smashed another box-office record! Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now become the third highest-grossing movie of all time, taking more than $2.35 billion worldwide. It has overtaken James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water and is now closing in on the two biggest blockbusters ever. The latest Spider-Man movie is officially one of the biggest films in cinema history.
Kylie Minogue is celebrating a huge streaming milestone, with her 2001 song “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” now passing one billion plays on Spotify. The song, famous for its instantly recognisable hook, became one of Kylie’s signature tracks and topped the charts in 40 countries. Taken from her eighth studio album, Fever, it remains one of her most popular songs.
