Sony has said it won’t change its mind on killing PlayStation discs in 2028, while acknowledging strong views from the video game community. During its latest earnings Q&A, Chief Financial Officer Lin Tao said the shift is driven by the continued growth of digital distribution, with 82% of PlayStation game sales now coming from digital downloads.
