A Chinese robotics company has unveiled a humanoid robot called Superman that has reportedly beaten Usain Bolt’s 100-metre sprint record during testing. The robot can reach impressive speeds thanks to its powerful electric motors and lightweight design — but there’s still one small problem: stopping. During a test run, Superman failed to slow down in time and crashed straight into an electrical box.
Scientists are testing a drug that could eventually allow people to grow new teeth naturally. The treatment works by blocking a protein which limits tooth development, potentially activating dormant cells to form new teeth. Human trials are now underway, although researchers say it’s still too early to know whether the treatment will work or become widely available.
