An experimental train in China has set a new acceleration record, reaching 800km/h from a standstill in just 5.3 seconds. Using magnetic forces to eliminate friction, the train then slowed to a smooth stop over about 200 metres, demonstrating the potential of ultra-high-speed transport.
Spotify is introducing a new AI Persona badge to identify artists whose profiles may have been generated by AI. They say the label will begin appearing on some artist profiles from mid-September, warning listeners an “artist’s identity may be AI-generated and does not represent a real person”.
