New research suggests that traveling on a regular basis could do more for your health than simply helping you relax. People who take at least two trips a year appear to have lower levels of inflammation, better heart health and longer telomeres — structures linked to biological ageing. The benefits may be even greater for those who explore new and unfamiliar places rather than repeatedly visiting the same destination.

 

The mystery of how the ancient Egyptians built the Great Pyramid of Khufu may finally have an answer. A researcher has presented mathematical evidence suggesting that an ingenious system of spiralling, indented ramps was used to transport the enormous stone blocks into position. Built more than 4,500 years ago, the pyramid contains an estimated two million blocks, with individual stones weighing between 2.5 and 15 tonnes.

 

A sequel to the Michael Jackson biopic is officially moving forward, with the studio confirming that Michael 2 is in the early stages of development. Following the strong box-office performance of the first film, the sequel is expected to explore the later years of Michael Jackson’s life. Production is still in the planning stages, but if development stays on schedule, the film could potentially arrive in cinemas around 2029.
