Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey is to allow its employees to work from home “forever”. They are one of the first companies to go to a work-from-home model” due to Covid-19, but does not anticipate being one of the first to return to its offices. He’s quoted as saying that if employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, they will make that happen.
Disney will start streaming the movie version of Hamilton 15 months earlier than planned. Originally, the film was due to be released October next year but with most of the world stuck at home in quarantine, the studio has decided to stream it exclusively on Disney+. Its the story of US independence through the eyes of founding father Alexander Hamilton, set to a hip-hop soundtrack.
Google have decided to phase out Google Play Music, and instead have launched a quick-transfer button inside YouTube for those who want to make the switch. Google Play Music will shut down later this year, but for now, users will continue to have access to both services. They have created an “effortless” way for users to transfer their music libraries and playlists to YouTube Music.
