The ROP and the Central Bank of Oman have issued an alert, warning that there is a new fraudulent method that has been used to mislead victims.
Scammers have been using social media platforms to trick victims into thinking that the central bank of Oman is providing an opportunity for easy loans, and it has been asking people to register through attached links.
In the registration process, they are asked for their private banking information. Authorities called on people to avoid giving their private details online.
