Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has celebrated the graduation of 30 Omani job seekers from its eight-week Digital Innovation Bootcamp 2026, aimed at developing digital skills and enhancing employment readiness.

Held from 2 August to 22 September, the programme delivered more than 5,000 training hours through over 40 industry and technical trainers. Participants gained practical experience, professional certifications and exposure to leading technology companies and industry partners.

The bootcamp, delivered in partnership with Bahwan CyberTek, Microsoft, Dell, Cisco, SAP, Decoil and Inspire, builds on PDO’s traditional job seekers programme by combining technical training with real-world business challenges, innovation and professional development.

Ali Al Lamki, Digital & IT Director at PDO, said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to developing Omani capabilities and creating pathways for young Omanis to participate in the digital economy.

Participants also tackled digital solutions challenges and explored emerging technologies as part of a structured programme designed to align their skills with evolving industry requirements.

The initiative supports PDO’s wider localisation and capability-development efforts and contributes to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
