Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is hosting the SPE International Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference and Exhibition (IHFTC 2025), which opened today at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of H.E. Mohsin bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.
The three-day conference (23–25 September) brings together global energy leaders, researchers, and executives to explore innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in hydraulic fracturing. More than 50 international experts are presenting technical papers and case studies across 14 sessions, alongside executive panels featuring senior figures from major global operators and service companies. An exhibition of 20+ international and regional organisations is also showcasing cutting-edge technologies and equipment.
PDO is highlighting its expertise with specialised technical sessions on advanced hydraulic fracturing solutions that improve recovery, efficiency, and sustainability. The event reinforces Oman’s role as a hub for energy dialogue and innovation, while supporting global education and professional development through proceeds reinvested in training, scholarships, and certification.
