The “Exploration Camp” for school students is continuing in Muscat Governorate, bringing together 110 students in grades 9–11 from Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and North Al Sharqiyah.

Organised by the Ministry of Education in strategic partnership with OQ Exploration and Production, the camp runs until August 20 and focuses on preparing Omani youth for the knowledge economy and supporting innovation and sustainability.

The intensive programme combines theoretical and practical training in energy, sustainability, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. Students explore conventional and renewable energy systems, AI applications in the sector, design thinking and problem-solving.

The programme also challenges participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world energy issues and turn their ideas into viable projects through sustainable business models, supporting Oman’s goals for economic diversification and innovation.
