COVID-19: Oman registers 1,177 new cases Saturday, total now 45,106

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,177 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries is 799.

In a statement issued online today [Saturday, July 4], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 45,106, while total recoveries have now reached 26,968.

Of the new cases announced today, 969 are among Omani citizens and 208 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 203 with 10 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 452, with 116 in ICU.
