Air India flight IX 818 took off from Muscat International Airport this afternoon [Monday, May 18] bound for Hyderabad as repatriation efforts continue for Indian nationals abroad under the auspices of the country’s ‘Vande Bharat’ mission.

The flight, which is the fourth to leave Oman for India since May 9, saw 182 passengers on-board. Yesterday [Sunday, May 17], the Indian Embassy in Oman announced three additional flights to be added to the original roster of eight as part of the repatriation mission’s second phase, between May 17-23.
The flight schedule is as follows:
May 17: Muscat – Trivandrum
May 18: Muscat – Hyderabad
May 20: Muscat – Kannur
May 20: Muscat – Bangalore
May 20: Salalah – Calicut
May 21: Muscat – Calicut
May 21: Muscat – Delhi
May 22: Muscat – Kannur
May 23: Muscat – Kochi
May 23: Muscat – Gaya
May 23: Muscat – Trivandrum
The Indian Embassy has confirmed that passenger lists for all new and scheduled repatriation flights will be finalized by the Embassy, and those short-listed to fly will be contacted directly by their representatives.
Travelers will be prioritized among those with medical emergencies, pregnant women and the elderly, workers in distress, and “other Indian nationals who are stranded in difficult situations.”
