Amouage Returns To Its Secret Garden With Love Hibiscus

Omani luxury fragrance house Amouage has unveiled Love Hibiscus, a new perfume joining its Secret Garden collection, adding a vibrant floral-gourmand composition inspired by Oman’s natural landscape and European patisserie.

Launched as part of the reimagined Secret Garden range introduced in 2024, Love Hibiscus blends the tart, berry-like character of hibiscus with a rich salted caramel accord. According to Amouage Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon, the collection follows a distinctive creative code that pairs floral notes with gourmand elements to produce unique scent signatures.

Salmon said the idea emerged from everyday life in Oman, where hibiscus flowers are common. Seeking contrast, he paired the floral inspiration with the aroma of palmiers, a caramelised French pastry he remembers from childhood.

The fragrance was developed in collaboration with perfumer Jérôme Epinette. Alongside hibiscus and salted caramel, the scent features passion fruit, frankincense, sandalwood, cypriol and vanilla to balance sweetness with woody depth.

Love Hibiscus becomes the fifth fragrance in the Secret Garden line, joining Lilac Love, Blossom Love, Love Tuberose and Love Delight, each designed to explore different expressions of contemporary femininity.

The perfume is presented in the redesigned Secret Garden bottle introduced last year, featuring a tactile ceramic finish and a vivid hibiscus-red colour, with packaging artwork by Louise Mertens and campaign visuals led by art director Jade Lombard.
