Young Omani inventor Razan Al Kalbani has introduced a concept of a coating that absorbs wireless radiations at the popular ‘Stars of Science’ show on Al Araby TV.

She said in her introduction that when a person gets exposed to x rays, it can cause biological damages.

“That’s why doctors wear special suits made of rubber to protect themselves,” she explained, adding that the materials used to make these suits “are toxic and not environmentally friendly.”

Al Kalbani introduced an idea to create a coating material made of Lycopene – a plant nutrient with antioxidant properties found in red vegetables and fruits, Nano Zinc oxide and Nano titanium oxide.

While she wants to use such material to paint walls and cover medical suits, her theory has not been proved effective yet but the judging panel allowed her to prove it in the coming episodes.
