Creative Mornings Muscat launched the #Wiki4Women initiative yesterday, as part of Omani Women’s Day celebrations, with the aim of enriching the digital content of influential Omani women in different fields such as education, science, culture, social, human sciences, and communication.

The launch was held under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Dr Rahma Al-Mahrooqi, and during the launch, the group held an event called an edit-a-thon, where a number of volunteers from across the country came together, to edit content or initiate new articles on Omani women, and according to the Team Leader of Creative Mornings, they were able to enter 74 Omani women into Wikipedia yesterday.

In the video below, Ms Sumaya Al Wahaibi, Team Leader of Creative Mornings, tells us more about the newly-launched initiative.
