Oman’s digital transformation is strengthening the country’s appeal as a place to live, work and invest, according to Vodafone Oman CEO Eng. Bader Al Zidi.
Speaking at the official opening of Live Oman in London, Al Zidi said Oman had moved from building strong digital foundations to applying technology across economic sectors, public services and businesses.
He highlighted the National Digital Economy Program, which aims to expand digital services, support promising sectors and increase their contribution to Oman’s economic growth.
Al Zidi said Vodafone Oman’s role goes beyond connectivity, using technology to help individuals, businesses and communities achieve more.
Led by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Live Oman brings together national partners to promote Oman as a destination to live, work, build and invest. Vodafone Oman is supporting the campaign through its communications channels, connectivity services and marketing expertise.
Vodafone Oman launched in March 2022 and operates as a digital-first telecommunications provider, with a cloud-based 5G network and digital services including the My Vodafone app.
