The Environment Conservation Office at the Diwan of Royal Court has announced that it has recorded the return of the cream-coloured courser to the Al Wusta Wildlife Reserve.

The office said in a press release that the species was last spotted in the area two years ago.

Locally known as ‘darraj’, the species is widely prevalent in the Arabian Peninsula.

As per ONA, the cream-coloured coursers live in semi-desert, pebble lands that have little vegetation and, also, near grasslands and farmed areas, feeding on insects such as locusts, and ants.
