The wooden ferry capsized off the coast of Wilayat Taqa on Wednesday, killing two people, and leaving three others moderately injured.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) issued a statement, saying that authorities managed to rescue eight other people who were onboard, but no information was given on what caused the accident.
The ferry was carrying a total of 10 people, as well as several vehicles.
