Tuesday, March 1st Announced as Official Holiday for Isra’a Wal Miraj

Oman News Agency (ONA) issued a statement online, announcing that the official holiday for Isra’a Wal Miraj will fall on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, for both the public and private sector.

The Isra’a Wal Miraj is an annual holiday that is observed by Muslims around the world, on the 27th of the Islamic month of Rajab, and according to the Islamic belief, this day marks prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) miraculour night journey from Mecca to Jerusalem to heaven.
