Tropical Depression Observed in Arabian Sea, No Impact on Sultanate

The National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center released a statement online, saying that a tropical depression was observed in the east – central Arabian Sea today.

The statement added that the depression is expected to maintain its intensity, and it will be moving west to southwest towards the Horn of Africa, with no direct impact over Oman in the next 72 hours.

The Civil Aviation Authority warned citizens and residents to take their precautions during the rains, and to watch out for flowing wadis.
