A tropical depression system developing over the Arabian Sea will gradually weaken over the next 48 hours, the Civil Aviation Authority said in a tweet on Sunday.

The Oman Metrology Department said that there are indications of a change in direction of the tropical depression away from the coast of the Sultanate toward the southwest.

However, the government body said that there are chances of cloudy weather over the coastal areas of the governorates of South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar in the coming two days.
