If you want to check out some movies this weekend the new Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning is showing across Oman. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt with the most dangerous mission yet. There is also the new Jackie Chan and John Cena movie Hidden Strike. It’s the story of two ex-special forces soldiers escorting a group of civilians along Baghdad’s “Highway of Death” to safety.
A very rare hardback Harry Potter book has sold for the equivalent of 5,000 OMR at an auction. The first-edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was one of 500 produced in 1997 and one of only 300 sent to libraries with a typo on the back cover.
Elon Musk and Twitter have been hit with a $500 million lawsuit over failed severance payments to former employees. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a class of employees terminated following Elon’s acquisition of Twitter last year. It alleges that Twitter have breached their duties by misleading workers about their eligibility for severance payments.
