COVID-19: Oman registers 1,067 new cases Saturday, total now 74,858

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,067 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Saturday, July 25], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 74,858.

Of the 1,067 new cases announced today, 959 are among Omani citizens and 108 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 1,054, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 54,061.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 371 with 12 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 570, with 167 in ICU.

A total of 3,076 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
