Researchers suggest that the problem-solving and strategic thinking required in games helps strengthen neural pathways, supporting sharper mental performance over time.

 

An original first-edition Superman comic from June 1939 has become the most expensive comic book ever sold, fetching $9.12 million at auction. Two brothers discovered it—along with five other comics—in their mother’s attic, tucked beneath old newspapers in a cardboard box. Thinking it might be valuable, they contacted an auction house, which later confirmed the issue was in exceptionally good condition.

This “TikTok Brain” effect stems from constant, quick dopamine hits that make focused attention harder. Experts warn that social media use is increasingly linked to anxiety and depression.
