Labubu — the scruffy-cute plush monster that exploded in China — could be headed to the big screen. Sony Pictures has acquired the rights and hopes to launch a movie (and maybe a franchise), though it’s still early with no director, cast, or decision on animation vs. live action.

Scientists at the University of Nottingham may have cracked the code for regrowing tooth enamel. Their new protein-based gel uses calcium and phosphate from saliva to rebuild enamel, forming a protective layer in just a week. Lab tests show it can withstand brushing, chewing, and acidic foods. Clinical trials are set for early 2026.
