Miss the check-in twice, and the app automatically alerts a designated contact that something may be wrong. Developers say the app is designed for people who live alone and work long hours, offering reassurance in an isolated world.

 

Apple has confirmed an AI partnership with Google, adopting Gemini models and Google’s cloud technology to help develop its own foundation models. The collaboration could significantly enhance the features and capabilities of Apple Intelligence, with Siri expected to see some of the biggest improvements.
