‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has reached another massive milestone at the global box office, crossing the $2.2 billion mark and becomes the fifth highest-grossing film ever. The movie has generated almost ten times its reported $225 million production budget. Its latest milestone puts the film just behind James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ on the all-time box-office chart.

 

Gamers have launched a week-long “PlayStation Blackout” in protest against Sony’s reported plans to phase out physical game discs. Participants are avoiding their PlayStation consoles entirely, hoping the boycott will demonstrate how strongly players oppose a move toward an all-digital future. The campaign is scheduled to continue through to Sunday.

 

Richard Marx is heading to the region for the very first time. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will take the stage at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on October 3rd, giving fans the chance to hear some of his biggest hits, including “Right Here Waiting,” “Hazard” and “Hold On to the Nights.”
