Top Gun: Maverick has now overtaken Black Panther and breaks another record at the US Box Office. So far it is the highest grossing movie this year and it doesn’t look like it will be beaten. Globally it has now taken more than $1.4 billion.
Instagram has been fined 405 million Euros for violating strict European Union data privacy rules. The social media platform has been found to mishandle the personal information of teenagers by Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. Instagram’s parent company disagrees with the way the fine was calculated and will lodge an appeal.
Beverly Hills Cop is the latest franchise to be revived, with a fourth film currently in production for Netflix. Eddie Murphy returns as Axel Foley with photos from the set starting to appear online. The premise of the new movie sees Axel return to Beverly Hills to investigate corruption in the force after the death of an old friend.
