Avatar has now become the first movie ever to pass $2.9 billion at the global box office. First released in 2009, James Cameron’s movie is the highest-grossing movie of all time. The success of the first Avatar led to four sequels, with the first one, Avatar: The Way of Water, set to release later this year. The milestone has been helped with the recent 4K remaster of the movie.
David Bowie’s iconic spacesuit worn in the music video for Ashes to Ashes is among a number of high profile items coming up for auction. It is expected to fetch more than $90,000 in a sale featuring other famous items of memorabilia later this year. As well as Bowie’s spacesuit, clothing worn by Rihanna and a pair of boots worn by Mel B on a Spice Girls tour are also being made available.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a new trailer in multiple languages. This is for the second Black Panther movie from Marvel Studios. It will be the longest non-Avengers film with the sequel clocking in at 2 hours and 41 minutes — about 27 minutes longer than the original film. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected to be released next month.
