Ed Sheeran has once again been ordered to stand trial over an allegation that his song “Thinking Out Loud” copies Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” The other day a judge denied a bid to have the copyright infringement suit dismissed, ruling that a jury should decide if Ed Sheeran’s song is substantially similar to Marvin Gaye’s song from 1973.
The franchise producer of James Bond, Barbara Broccoli, has given another disappointing update regarding Daniel Craig’s replacement. Even though there were rumours an announcement was going to be made this week, she now claims that the search for a new Bond will begin next year – a delay which will surely be disappointing to long time fans of the film series.
Christian Bale has said he could be persuaded to join the Star Wars franchise – but only as the famous stormtrooper who banged his head on the doorframe in the background of A New Hope. The mishap wasn’t supposed to happen in the script but producers left it in the movie instead of filming the scene again. Christian Bale added that Star Wars is a franchise that “really interests” him as both an actor and a lifelong fan.
