The longest lunar eclipse of this century happens in a couple of weeks. On November 19th Earth will pass between the Sun and Moon, creating a shadow on the Moon’s surface with earth hiding 97% of the full moon. During the event, the moon will acquire a reddish colour which might be visible in some parts of Oman. NASA say the lunar eclipse is expected to last 3 hours, 28 minutes.

 

George Clooney has issued a plea to the media to avoid publishing photos of his children, saying it could put their lives at risk. He has four-year-old twins with his wife Amal, who is a prominent human rights lawyer. He was prompted to send the plea to a UK newspaper “and other publications”, after seeing photographs of other celebrities children being published online.

 

Don’t expect any new Harry Potter films for quite a while as Chris Columbus, the director behind the first two movies, says that he doesn’t think the franchise needs a reboot. There has been consistent talk about the potential for rebooting the entire series, and many fans agree with the director. His comments came during a recent interview when he was asked if he thought the films would ever be remade.
