David Bowie’s estate is considering selling his songwriting catalogue for a reported sum of more than $200million. The catalogue is predicted to continue to generate revenue for many more years because the music is streamed, played on the radio and used in films and advertisements. Music copyrights have soared in value recently as audio streaming has given older songs a new lease of life.

 

Jon Bon Jovi is the latest celebrity to test positive for COVID. He had to backout of a Miami Beach concert just minutes before he was supposed to take the stage. The other members of the band, who tested negative, stayed and played their set for the waiting crowd. Bryan Adams has also tested positive and was scheduled to appear at Tina Turner’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Both singers are fully vaccinated and showed no symptoms.
