Facebook is to discontinue several services that track your real-time location, including nearby friends, weather alerts, location history, and background location. The company say the services are being removed due to “low usage”.
Avatar: The Way of Water has a new trailer online but the movie won’t be released until December 16th. Along with some of the movie’s returning cast members like Sigourney Weaver, Avatar 2 will also have some new actors and characters including Kate Winslet. Director James Cameron has said that he plans to have up to five Avatar movies which are set to come out every other year from now until 2028.
One of the most iconic paintings of the 20th Century has just been auctioned for $195m. The painting of Marilyn Monroe was painted by Andy Warhol in 1964 using a famous photograph as inspiration. Christie’s wrote that the painting is “one of the rarest” images in existence. All proceeds of the sale will go to a charity in Switzerland that works to establish healthcare and education programmes for children around the world.
