Taylor Swift has offered a cash donation to a mum-of-five who lost her husband to Covid-19 just a week before Christmas. A GoFundMe page was set up by friends and family to help pay off medical bills. Taylor swift saw the page and donated almost $50,000. It’s not the first time Taylor has shown generosity during the pandemic. She had previously donated $3,000 dollars each to a number of fans who spoke about their financial problems.
Pixar’s new upcoming animated movie Luca could be skipping a cinema release entirely and debut on Disney+ instead. It’s one of only a few films that has, so far, stuck to its original release date after other movies were delayed due to the pandemic. Movie experts are saying that Disney is still unsure of what the cinema landscape will look like for the rest of this year.
Owners of a restaurant in Taiwan are disappointed after one of their promotions backfired. For a limited time they offered free all you eat sushi to anybody whose name is Salmon. However many customers saw this as an opportunity to change their name and take advantage of the deal. It turned out that more than 200 people changed their name which prompted Taiwan’s Government to tell residents to stop wasting peoples time with silly name changes.
