The Weeknd is officially boycotting the Grammys. He said he will no longer submit songs for the awards show after it declined to nominate him for a single accolade for his hit single “Blinding Lights.” He has taken issue in particular with the lack of transparency on the voting process. It comes as the organization behind the Grammys is facing scrutiny over alleged bias against Black and female artists.
Netflix is testing a feature to put a stop to people sharing passwords. Some users have started to get notifications which ask them to verify they live with the account holder. Users are then prompted to use a code sent to the account owner to continue. The trial could also be used to help with account security, and not necessarily just for cracking down on password sharing.
Selena Gomez has hinted she might retire from music after her next album. According to a recent interview, Selena’s music may be taking a back seat in the very near future as she wants to give herself a “real shot at acting”. She opened up about her lengthy career on both TV and in music for Vogue Magazine and revealed that she wants to get into acting and producing more so than music in the future.
