The director of the 1978 Superman movie, Richard Donner, passed away yesterday, aged 91. The director and producer’s body of work also includes other iconic movies like The Goonies, Lethal Weapon, The Omen, and Free Willy.

Bill Cosby’s on-screen wife, Phylicia Rashad, who starred in The Cosby Show, received heavy backlash on social media, after she tweeted her support for Cosby’s release from jail. Rashad, who is the dean of a university in Washington D.C., was accused of supporting sexual abuse. She then sent out a letter to students and parents, apologizing to them, and promising to support sexual assault survivors. Cosby condemned the backlash that Phylicia received, calling it a “violation of one’s rights” and he also tweeted that he maintains that he is innocent.

The notorious cybercrime group known as REvil, asked for the equivalent of $70 million, paid in bitcoin, as a ransom. REvil may have pulled off what cyber experts are calling “the most significant ransomware attack the world has ever seen”. The group attacked the MSP software tool provider Kaseya. The infection was initially only limited to a few dozen Kaseya customers, but then because each of the victims had 30-40 customers of their own, the infection spread to thousands of small businesses. One good thing however, is that there is no evidence that any data was exfiltrated before the encryption took place.
