Sony say the PlayStation 5 has become their fastest ever selling games console. More than 10 million units had been sold by 18 July since it launched in November last year. That means it has outpaced the PS4 – which went on to sell more than 100 million units after its launch in 2013.
Facebook has seen profits double to $10bn but also warns of a slowdown in the coming months. The company, which also owns, Instagram and WhatsApp platforms, has grown through the pandemic as consumers spend more time online. However, the number of monthly active users on Facebook was short of analysts’ expectations.
A woman who was carrying around a winning lottery ticket worth almost €33m in her purse for several weeks without realising it has said she still becomes “dizzy” at the thought of what she did. She hasn’t been names but it turned out she was was the only winner of the draw in Germany on June 9th.
